Lucas attn Bobbie; Anyone

Lucas had made a good friend with Skye, and hoped things worked out for her. He was actually feeling a little better about himself as he headed back to his dorm room. As he opened the door, he noticed a note fall off and to the ground, addressed to him.

Lucas picked the note up and sat on his bed as he opened it.

'Lucas,

Things aren't going to work between us. You're a great guy, and I know someday you'll find someone who will appreciate you and love you. But I can't be that man. I'm sorry. By the time you read this I'll be on a bus to California. I hope you find yourself, Lucas.

-Guy Tucker'

Lucas closed his eyes as he let the note fall to the ground. The one person he thought he could count on had just left him. He tried not to let the tears come, but it was difficult. He looked at his watch. He had to call someone before the depression took hold again. But it was late, and Lainey was probably still on her auction date, and Dillon was trying to make peace with Lulu, and he didn't want to disrupt that.

Lucas leaned back and tried to tell himself that things would be alright, but he just couldn't convince himself.

Bobbie walked inside and found Lucas by himself. "Hey sweetie" she said. "How was your night?"
"It- it was fine," Lucas said as he hid the note under his pillow. "Me and Skye really connected."

He hadn't told his mother about anything that had happened since Micheal's kidnapping. His near suicide attempt and descent into depression was something he didn't want her to find out about. She had her own problems to deal with.

"How was your date with Dr. Drake?"
Bobbie could tell something was wrong but she didn't want to pry. "It was good" she said. Bobbie cleared her throat. "Lucas, Dr.Drake- Noah, he asked me to go on a real date. Since your father just..isn't with us anymore, this would be my first date since. I wanted to make sure you were ok with it. Are you?"
Lucas swallowed hard when she asked him that. He knew his parents had been seperated for a long time, and up until his dad died, there was always that tiny ray of hope that they'd find their way back to each other. Then the virus came...

"I- I just want you be happy," Lucas told her quietly. She was finally moving on from his father, forgetting about him. But he couldn't let her know how he was really feeling, he didn't want to drag his mother down with him. "Yeah, I'm cool with it."
Bobbie smiled and threw her arms around Lucas, "Thank you sweetheart, that means the world to me" she pulled and away and examined his face. He looked painfully sad. "Tell me sweetie, what's wrong? Please, talk to me?" Bobbie pleaded.
"Guy left me," Lucas whispered as he looked down at the ground. "He left town."

Lucas pulled the note out from under his pillow. "Didn't even have the nerve to tell me to my face."
